About

Lizzie Tyquin
Director / Occupational Therapist
I am a passionate therapist who prioritises building strong therapeutic relationships with clients and caregivers. Using evidence-based and a person-centered approach is central to my practice. I use a client's strengths, interests, and inner motivations to help them develop new skills and overcome barriers to their participation in daily routines.

As I support children to develop key skills, I also heavily ground my practice on the Social Model of Disability. This means that I explore ways that our environments (cultural, social, & physical) can be changed to ensure everybody has equitable access and feels included. We should not expect a young individual to change their disability in order to 'fit' into our community,

I enjoy collaborating with education teams to develop environmental and routine structures which ensure schooling is inclusive for all individuals. With a Masters Degree in Inclusive Education, I am an informed advocate for the inclusion rights and supportive strategies for students with diverse learning needs.

I am based in Pomona underneath the mighty Cooroora Mountain. I provide mobile therapy services throughout the Noosa Hinterland including Pomona, Cooroy, Cooran, Federal, Black Mountain, Eumundi, Tewantin, Noosaville, and surrounding areas. .
I come to you! No need to journey to the next township to access needed support. I deliver therapy in the environments where it is needed the most - the home, school. daycares, or in the community. Telepractice is also available upon request.
